Agustin Mujica

The unexpected death of Agustin Mujica, our friend and colleague from Venezuela, has left the MSF Community in shock, pain and sorrow since May 22nd.

Agustin started to work in MSF as an electrician in 2013 in Mozambique, Kenya, the Philippines and Haiti. He then joined our LOG department as a MIO Energy & Cold Chain where he went on numerous visits in South Sudan, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Mozambique and Sierra Leone.

In his own discreet way, triggered by his passion for challenges and driven by his empathy, he contributed to improve or setup the environment for our medical teams and our bene ciaries, whether it was for a safe

electrical setup in Martissant or to start the Cantahay hospital. Recently, he contributed to the design of the ambitious energy setup of the future Kenema hospital, from early studies to practical implementation in the field. His smile and particular sense of humor would encourage people to tackle these challenges along, all the way to the salsa skills, moving people to party until sunrise...

Agustin’s family had the occasion to meet his friends and colleagues in Brussels and to get all the pictures and support messages you wrote for them.
Thank you for all your thoughts.

Agustin, cada LOG te lleva en un pedacito de su corazón.
