Drissa Diakite (d. September 14, 2010)

Dear all,
We are very sad to announce that our colleague Drissa Diakite passed away yesterday night, the 14th of September, in Johannesburg.

Drissa was a medical doctor having worked as an expatriate for the OC B in DRCongo, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Chad. He started his career with MSF as a national doctor at our mission in Mali at the end of the 1990’s. He also was on mission with MSF-Holland in Congo Brazzaville.

Drissa arrived two months ago in Zimbabwe to work as a medical doctor in Murabinda AIDS project. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues and with the Zimbabwean mission.

Sébastien Roy, HR Director, MSF-OC B

Dear all,

My heart goes out to his family, friends and his colleagues in Zimbabwe and elsewhere who have worked with him, Drissa will be missed very much by those who valued his friendship and his professional and humanitarian input. He definitely left an indelible mark on all of us who met him and worked with him.
The Zimbabwe team joins his family and the MSF family in mourning the dreadful loss of our colleague.
With deep Condolences.

Fasil Tezera, Head of Mission, MSF-OC B Zimbabwe
