Jehan Zaib (d. 8 June 2016)

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague Mr. Jehan Zaib, laboratory technician in the Timergara Project who passed away Wednesday morning June 08, 2016. He succumbed to death after struggling with metastatic cancer of unknown origin.

He worked in Dargai, Karachi and Timergara Project as a laboratory technician from 2010-2016. We have known him for a period of over five years and he was more than a colleague, he was a friend.  He was a very helpful, optimistic and devoted health professional, lobbying in particular for patients in case of need. He paid special attention to everyone with dignity, respect and care. He always had time for everybody to come see him.  His residential room or blood bank staff room was always full of young friends, enjoying being together, cooking food and having fun.

Mr Jehanzaib was an excellent ambassador of MSF. He promoted the values and principles of our organization, and arranged and conducted SANOU trainings as a facilitator. He remained a proactive member of the MSF Associative Committee, Timergara Project.  We will never forget the image of his gentle and bright face.

Farewell Jehanzaib, may Allah bless his soul and give courage to his family to bear this valuable loss. Amen.

On behalf of the MSF team in Timergara,

Ijaz and Ayaz
